Pilgrimage information office and community space in the heart of Budapest
The Budapest Pilgrims' Centre (Zarándokközpont) aims to provide information and support pilgrims in Hungary. The center offers a community space for discussions related to pilgrimage and hosts professional events such as training, meetings, and workshops.
We are dedicated to promoting the cause of pilgrimage, supporting pilgrims seeking physical, spiritual, and community experience.
We are currently working on setting up the location and partnerships — primarily with pilgrimage route organizations, pilgrimage sites and organizers.

Pilgrimage offers a unique opportunity for both religious and non-religious people. Spiritual renewal, physical challenge, community experience, and closeness to nature are all integral parts of such a journey. The Pilgrims' Centre supports everyone seeking joy, relaxation, or spiritual recharge on their journey.
Insights gained from pilgrimage can help us live our everyday lives more richly and consciously.
Pilgrimage can be undertaken individually — along designated routes — or by joining an organized group of pilgrims. There are also announced pilgrimage days, during which participants can travel specific routes individually but within an organized framework. During such an event, various stations provide refreshments and spiritual inspiration along the route, ensuring the path is particularly easy to follow and support is offered to pilgrims in case of emergencies.
The Pilgrimage Center is located at Ferenciek Square in Budapest, behind the church in the courtyard of the V. staircase, on the first floor. The inauguration event for the first phase of development was held on December 11, 2024. Regular opening hours are expected from spring 2025 due to technical reasons. Until then, the center is accessible on an occasional basis by prior appointment, and our organized events offer opportunities for encounter and engagement.
